What is TroyBid?

TroyBid is a reverse auction website where the lowest unique bid wins. It's a brilliant and exciting way to buy brand new products for a fraction of their retail price!

How do I bid?

The idea of a reverse auction is that a bidder aims to be the lowest bidder on an item, and the bid in euro cents has to be one which no other bidder has made i.e. the lowest unique bid.

Are the items used?

No, all items you will find on TroyBid are brand new!

What is a lowest-unique-bid auction?

The winner of our lowest unique bid auction is the person that has the lowest bid placed, that has not been duplicated by any other bidder.

What happens if there is no lowest unique bid?

If there is no lowest unique bid, the next lowest unique bid would be the lowest number with the least amount of bids that was placed first. If every bid is duplicated exactly, then the lowest unique bid would be the lowest number that was placed first.

Can I auction my own things on TroyBid?

No

Why does it cost money to place a bid?

Bidding fees are necessary to cover the cost of the product/service. The cost of one bid depends on the product up for auction and on the retail price of the item.

Is TroyBid a lottery?

No, in a lottery things are left to luck. In our lowest bid auction the bidder can affect the result and outcome of the auction. You can here bid to secure the purchase of a product, therefore the goods are for sale and not prizes.

How old do I have to be to bid?

You must be at least 18 years old.

I'm not from the US, can I then bid?

Yes! We accept participants worldwide!

How much does shipping cost?

The item shipping will be advised on the invoice.  It all depends on the auctioned item.

What payment methods can I use?

You may use funds on your cash account.  You can load your cash account via credit card or wire transfer.

Can I get a refund on my bids?

Once bids are placed they are non-refundable. The only exception on this matter would be if the auction for any reason has been cancelled.

When will I receive the product/service?

When you have won an auction, you will receive an email with the invoice informing you of the payment details. Once you have paid your winning bid, the item will normally be shipped within 1 week. Delivery on larger and special items may take longer.

Can I place more than one bid on a item?

Yes! You may place as many bids as you want! By placing several bids,  your chances of winning increases!

Can I delete my TroyBid account?

Yes! Simply send an email to support@troybid.com and your account will be deleted.
